I thought it was super cool movie! It touches on reality that Advanced life forms do exist and sometimes care about Humans and sometimes need their help as well. I will see it again for sure!

Our kids (8yrs and 11yrs) absolutely loved this movie, and it was entertaining enough for my husband and I to enjoy also. A lot of action and suspense. One transformer-looking alien but there's really nothing in the movie that would be too scary for younger kids. This is a good movie for the whole family. -
Okay for the kids, but if you're over 13 you'll be bored.
This movie is totally and completely kid-safe. There is nothing about it that would make you squirmy or uncomfortable if you are on a first date, or if you are sitting with your grandmother, or if you are with your 7 year-old kid. The kids would probably love it, because it is about two young teens who save the day and are smarter than everyone else. They also have supernatural powers and can fly a spacecraft. What's not to love?
This film reminds me a lot of Transformers and of the Terminator. Some of the music in certain scenes even sounds like an homage to the Terminator theme music. Oh, there is also a little tiny bit of Independence Day thrown in there.
There is little that is original or thought provoking about this film, but what do you expect from a remake of an old film?
It does have a lot of action sequences and chase scenes. Lots of explosions, but very little that will make you think.
