Okay, there's some cliche, and familiarity, but at the core is a unique modern problem our lead character must face to resolve the films basic conflict which is its easier to find true love than it is a best friend of the same sex. Our lead, interviews perspective males like on a normal date- except he is searching for "bromance" not romance, as his fiance is concerned there wont be anybody present from his side at their wedding.
Paul Rudd is his typical likable/ vulnerable self in this comedy romp,adroitly directed by comic veteran Ivan Reitman, which features Andy Samberg as his unaffected gay brother, and some really good cameos by Lou Ferrigno(spelling?).Strong supporting cast in Jane Curtin, J.K. Simmons and Jaime Pressly. The film is very well paced, never boring or "cutesy" What works the best is the recurrence of jokes and idioms and characters thru the entire film. Very funny, modern, light, and highly recommended to teens and older.
Yes, a comedy with a 4 Star Rating!!! This was just plain funny. Paul Rudd just continues to show his comedic chops. Jason Segel played the bachelor character well. Guys, most of us will relate to him. There are some other comedic cameos that just made the film more fun. Yes, this is mainly a guys film, but girls should like humor and be able to relate to the characters. Not a whole lot of promising adult comedies out right now so, put this one on the top of your must see list and have a great laugh!! 4 Stars.
