A visually stunning movie. It doesn't deserve the lousy ratings from the . It's about things that don't seem to be so important these days, things like honor, sacrifice, and love. It's a great action film. Don't listen to the jaded critics. Judge it for yourself.
At least 4 1/2 stars!
I did not like this film and do not recommend seeing it on the big screen or for that matter at home. The film was dull and disappointing, I expected a great story and instead I got special effects and wooden dialogue. Keanu Reeves was never a great actor and in this film it is painfully obvious, it was kind of hard to watch. Visually the film is impressive but it is completely empty inside and it made me very sad because the film had a great cast (except Reeves) and a great story to tell. Overall, I think this film is not worth your time or money.
I went to see this film with my friend and we were both quite excited because we both love martial arts movies. I have to say that we left the theater very disappointed and I do not recommend seeing this movie on the big screen. The film was beautiful visually and seeing it in 3D was pretty incredibly, however, it was totally empty inside. The film was very dull and it was such a shame to see a great international cast go to waste. The film was way too long and it was underwhelming. Overall, there are many films coming out on Christmas day that are 10 times better than this one.
I love martial arts films and was quite excited to see this one on the big screen. I was a bit doubtful about Keanu Reeves starring in it but I have to say that he did a pretty good job and I had a good time watching this film. I know that die-hard fans will probably find a lot of flaws in this film but I am not that critical and I thought the film was pretty entertaining overall. It was well made and I really liked the action scenes and the story was good. The special effects were awesome and the film looked great visually, I was quite impressed. Overall, if you like martial arts films I suggest you see this one, I am pretty sure that you will have a good time.
I am a big fan of martial arts films and I have not seen a good one on the big screen in a very long time. I had high hopes for this film and I was sad when it did not meet them. The story should be the most important thing in any movie, especially martial arts films, so I was disappointed and annoyed to see the filmmakers ignore that and focus their attention on the special effects. Keanu Reeves looks good and that’s about it, I could not focus on him because I was too distracted by all of the CGI. The only thing, well, not a thing but a person I liked in this film, was Rinko Kikuchi, she was great. Overall, if you are a true fan of martial arts films, you will not like this one.
