2012 Movie Reviews

Was a terrific movie. Gave food for thought. I need to think more authentically about how precious my time is. Awesome action and awe effect. Was a great amount of introspection for me for sure. Would like to see earth after that date...lol
Take a simplistic new-age take on an ancient idea, mix it with postmodern relative humanism, throw in a raft of mediocre acting and dramatic, even melodramatic, special effects, and you have the makings of "2012." If you pay full price for your ticket, you will either feel cheated, or you have very low standards for entertainment. On the other hand, if you see the bargain matinee or, even better, a second-run showing at the dollar theater, you'll thoroughly enjoy this meaningless and predictable high-tech adventure.
I thought this movie was very boring. I don't know what I expected this movie to be. I thought the name of this movie made it sound interesting, but it wasn't. It was too sci-fi for my taste. It was also over two and a half hours.
one of the best movies I have seen all year , great action scenes all thru the movie from start to finish would like to see a follow up movie that is done as well as this one ,
Hope you take the time to see this great movie .
Ugh! When will Hollywood learn its lesson? The real disaster is not that the earth's crust is slipping but that they keep trying to make the same movie OVER and OVER again! The same family. The same precocious 5 year old daughter. The same brooding teenage son (who insists on calling his dad by his first name, of course). Cardboard cut-out Russians, compliant California Asians dressed up as Buddhist Monks and head-bobbing Indian software engineers compete with special effects to tug at your weary, overtaxed heart!
The Special Effects were great in this movie.
I judge a movie by wither or not I wasted my money by going to it.
I can tell you that I did not waste it at all when I went to see this movie.
Like it was Awesome. Ya know. It was full of like crashing stuff and building like exploding and making noise. I almost spilled my $30.00 bucket of popcorn. I wish H-Wood would make more of these like, interesting, thoughtfull reality like films. The animation was like Awesome and I'd certainly drive another 20 miles to see it because it had sooo much to offer. Ya know? I can hardly wait to see 2012-2 cause its gonna be awesome too. Doncha think?
My family wanted to see a movie on Thanksgiving. Drove 20 miles out. Was informed that the time listed online was incorrect. What was most disappointing was the treatment I received from the women at the desk whom argued with me to prove me wrong.
First...I do not need someone to try and prove me wrong! Her behavior was most insulting. I double checked the times the day of the movie before we left and when we got back. And yes it is in FACT listed for the time I told her.
This would not be such a big deal if she would have just been honest with me and say it was a mistake and apologize instead of trying to make an arguement.
The storyline is a little predictive, and in some aspects leaves you wanting, in a few areas. The action is what is the big draw here though. Lots of intense explosions, quite realistic in many aspects. I personally would have liked a little more explanation on the sciences involved with what was going on. I would have liked to see a little more character development.
I think if they would have cut about half the characters they had, and focused a bit more on individual characters, and not so much on the CGI it would have gotten a 5 star rating. Just when you started seeing some character growth, something else got thrown into the mix so you couldn't really become attached, or relate to, any specific character.
This one would have been better in a 2 part series I think.
What the world needs now...is to wake up...we need more movies like this...Humanity is going to reap what he has sown...and if you follow THE WAY OF THE TRULY KNOWLEDGABLE ,YOU WILL COME TO BELIEVE THAT THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE REATH. THANK GOD THAT THERE WILL BE JUSTICE...REAL JUSTICE FOR ALL.
