After 60 movies, mainly comedies and musicals, she stopped making films around 1970. Since then, she has also appeared on television. Since 1966 Waltraut Haas has been married to actor Erwin Strahl, with whom she has been performing both on the stage and in films. The couple has one son, actor and director Marcus Strahl.
