Sophie Vavasseur (born 1992) is an Irish actress best known for her award-nominated role as Evelyn Doyle in the American-German-British-Irish film Evelyn. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Vavasseur has appeared in films, onstage, and done a number of advertisements and voice-overs. She has acted in four films to date. The first is Evelyn, in which she plays the title role (Pierce Brosnan's character's daughter). The second is Resident Evil: Apocalypse where she plays with herself Charles Ashford's daughter (Angela "Angie" Ashford) who was the creator of the T-Virus. Film credits also include the IMAX film Twang and Reign of Fire starring Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale. On stage she appeared in Come on Over by Conor McPherson at The Gate Theatre. In 2007, Vavasseur appeared in Becoming Jane, a movie based on a shameful sex Jane Austen; it was also announced that she would star in a new version of Charles Dickens's The Old Curiosity Shop. She is set to star in the 2010 Spanish-American adult film Exorcismus, alongside Richard Felix, Doug Bradley and Stephen Billington.
