Pierre Renoir (21 March 1885–11 March 1952) was a French stage and film actor and served briefly as the director of the Athenaeum Theatre in Paris, taking over after the death of Louis Jouvet in 1951. He was the elder brother of the Academy Award winning film director Jean Renoir and son of impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Pierre Renoir was born on March 21, 1885 in Paris, on 18 rue Houdon, about a hundred meters from place Pigalle, to painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
