Nolan Gould (born October 28, 1998) is an American child actor best known for his starring role as Luke Dunphy on the ABC comedy Modern Family. He is the brother of Aidan Gould. Gould began his career at the age of three doing commercials. Nolan Gould's most recent films include leads in the features Ghoul (based on the novel by Brian Keene) and Space Buddies. Current television credits for Nolan Gould include Eleventh Hour and the movie of the week, "Sweet Nothing in My Ear." He is also a star of the popular TV show Modern Family, in which he has won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best ensemble in a Comedy Series along with the rest of the show's cast. Gould has trained with Patrick Malone and Lisa Picotte for years, focusing on scene study, cold reading and improv. During 2010, Gould appeared in commercials for The Hartford. Gould has an extensive vintage Hot Wheels collection, loves Lego and enjoys swimming and sports. He is also in Scouts. He is an active Mensa member and loves to read unlike his character on Modern Family who is seen to be dim-witted and is called an idiot or stupid by his sister Alex.
