Nestor Serrano (born November 5, 1955) is an American film and television actor. Serrano began his acting career in off-Broadway plays in the late 1970s; by the 1980s he had shared the stage with Robert De Niro, Wesley Snipes, Matt Dillon and Ving Rhames. His first film was the 1986 Tom Hanks comedy The Money Pit. Since then, he has appeared in supporting roles in films such as Lethal Weapon 2, Bad Boys, The Negotiator, Empire, The Insider, Runaway Jury, and The Day After Tomorrow. He also has an extensive television résumé, with appearances in shows such as Alias, 24, Law & Order, and its spin-offs, SVU and Trial by Jury. Nestor played Bobby's father on an episode of Ugly Betty. He also made a guest-appearance in Criminal Minds in the episode, 'Poison' as Detective Hanover who asks for the BAU's assistance in regards to several people unknowingly taking LSD in New Jersey.
