Morven Christie is a Scottish-born actress. Morven Christie grew up in Scotland, splitting her time between Glasgow and Aviemore. She studied acting at the Drama Centre London, under Reuven Adiv, an associate of Lee Strasberg. She graduated in 2003. Christie has worked on stage, film and television drama since. She currently lives in North London. In 2006 she played Juliet and Hero for the Royal Shakespeare Company in their Complete Works season. Christie played Jane Bennet in ITV's miniseries Lost in Austen, a modern twist on Austen's Pride & Prejudice. She played the leading role in ITV series Monday Monday, and a supporting role in The Young Victoria. In 2008 Christie was cast in Sam Mendes' first Bridge Project theatre company, playing Anya in Tom Stoppard's new adaptation of The Cherry Orchard, and Perdita in Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale which finished at The Old Vic in London, after a sell out run at Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York and a world tour. She recently completed Alan Bleasdale's Laconia for the BBC, which marks his return to television after a 10 year break.
