Michael McCullers is an American screenwriter best known for his work in the comedy genre. He was a personal assistant to Mike Myers and served as a writer on Saturday Night Live’s 1997 and 1998 seasons. Some of his other writing credits include the films Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), Undercover Brother (2002), Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) and Thunderbirds (2004).
The movie Baby Mama (2008) was McCuller’s first directorial effort. The comedy film was produced by Lorne Michaels and starred SNL alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Baby Mama follows Kate (Fey) a successful and single business executive who decides at 37 to have a child on her own. After discovering she can’t get pregnant, Kate allows South Philly working girl Angie (Poehler) to become her surrogate. But when pregnant Angie turns up at her front door with no place to live, Kate’s organized life is turned upside down.
