Michael McCullers is an American screenwriter best known for his work in the comedy genre. He was a personal assistant to Mike Myers and served as a writer on Saturday Night Liveâ€™s 1997 and 1998 seasons. Some of his other writing credits include the films Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999), Undercover Brother (2002), Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) and Thunderbirds (2004).
The movie Baby Mama (2008) was McCullerâ€™s first directorial effort. The comedy film was produced by Lorne Michaels and starred SNL alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Baby Mama follows Kate (Fey) a successful and single business executive who decides at 37 to have a child on her own. After discovering she canâ€™t get pregnant, Kate allows South Philly working girl Angie (Poehler) to become her surrogate. But when pregnant Angie turns up at her front door with no place to live, Kateâ€™s organized life is turned upside down.
