Matt Prokop (born July 29, 1990) is an American actor, best known for his role as Jimmie "The Rocket" Zara in High School Musical 3: Senior Year. He was born in Texas, and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 16 to pursue his acting career. He attended Howell Middle School and Memorial High School. He is represented by Management 360 and APA. He has also appeared in an episode of Hannah Montana and on Big Time Rush. Matt Prokop has appeared sporadically in various movies and TV shows. Originally he was to reprise his role as Jimmie Zara for the next installment of High School Musical, but Disney executives decided to take the franchise into a different direction and dropped the next generation of Wildcats. The original intent for his role in the film was to be a replacement for Zac Efron's character Troy Bolton who has since moved on to college. Despite the career setback, Prokop landed a role in the Brendan Fraser film Furry Vengeance, playing Fraser's son. Prokop missed the premiere of the movie as he was stranded in London due to the volcanic eruptions of Eyjafjallajökull.
