Matt Gerald is an American actor, screenwriter, and musician. He was born in Miami, Florida, USA. Gerald, a graduate of The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, is best known for his role as Corporal Lyle Wainfleet in James Cameron's sci-fi thriller, Avatar. He has also appeared in feature films including Elektra Luxx, In the Mix, S.W.A.T., Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Tigerland, XXX: State of the Union, The Minus Man, and Magnolia, and television shows including The Shield, NCIS: Los Angeles, Lie To Me, Saving Grace, The Unit, Without A Trace, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He will soon be appearing in Red Dawn, a remake of the 1984 film, and Faster, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Billy Bob Thornton.
