Johnathon Schaech (pronounced Shek, born September 10, 1969) is an American actor, writer, and director. Schaech was born in Edgewood, Maryland to Joe and Joanne Schaech. He was raised Roman Catholic. Schaech has a sister Renee, who works for him as his assistant. Schaech's career in movies and television dates back to 1993. He has appeared in movies such as Prom Night, 8mm 2, Hush, Welcome to Woop Woop, How to Make an American Quilt, Kiss the Bride, Judas, Sol Goode, After Sex, If You Only Knew, Splendor, That Thing You Do!, The Doom Generation, Little Chenier and Forsaken. Schaech co-founded Chesapeake Films with Richard Chizmar. Their first projects include an adaptation of Stephen King's From a Buick 8 and Black House, Douglas Clegg's The Hour Before Dark, Ed Gorman's The Poker Club, and Road House 2: Last Call from home. Schaech was born in Edgewood, Maryland, the son of Joanne, a telemarketing executive, and Joe Schaech, a law enforcement officer. He was married to actress Christina Applegate from 2001 to 2007.
