John Magaro Movies and Career Information

John Robert Magaro (born February 16, 1983) is an American film, television and stage actor. He will star alongside James Gandolfini in Twylight Zones (2012)—the upcoming feature film debut of David Chase, creator of The Sopranos. Magaro was born in Akron, Ohio, but grew up in its nearby suburb of Munroe Falls. John's last name reflects his father's Italian ethnicity, though he (John) was raised in his mother's Jewish religion; both parents were teachers. While attending school within the Stow-Munroe Falls City School District, he began acting in local theater, including shows at the Cleveland Play House and the Kent State Porthouse Theatre at Blossom Music Center. As a youth, Magaro also appeared in television commercials, and had a role in an episode of Rescue 911. After graduating from Stow-Munroe Falls High School in 2001, he went on to study theater at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Magaro currently lives in and works out of New York.
