Jason Morgan Ritter (born February 17, 1980) is an American actor, son of the late actor John Ritter and actress Nancy Morgan. Ritter is probably best known for his role as Kevin Girardi in the television series Joan of Arcadia and as Sean Walker in the NBC series The Event. Ritter was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of Nancy Morgan and the late John Ritter, and the grandson of musician/actor Tex Ritter and Dorothy Fay. His stepmother is Amy Yasbeck. His siblings are Carly, Tyler, and Stella Ritter. Ritter spent several summers at Cheley Colorado Camps in Estes Park, Colorado. Ritter is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company. He also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Ritter appeared in The Dreamer of Oz: The L. Frank Baum Story. He appeared in the movie PG (2002), and one year later playing in Swimfan. In 2003, Ritter had a major role in the slasher/horror film Freddy vs. Jason as Will Rollins. He appeared in Raise Your Voice and Happy Endings. He portrayed Jeb Bush in the Oliver Stone film W. In 2007, he also voiced substitute teacher, Mr. Fisk, in an episode of "All Grown Up",
