Dustin Clare is a Logie Award winning Australian actor. Dustin grew up in Australia. He is originally from country and north coast NSW, but studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. He graduated in 2004 with a degree in dramatic arts. He is also an ambassador for the 2011 Warrambeen Film Festival in his home country of Australia. He is of Scottish and Irish stock. Dustin is also an Ambassador for the White Ribbon Foundation, promoting an end to violence against women. Dustin starred as Riley Ward on the series McLeod's Daughters. In 2009 he played Sydney hitman and gangland figure Christopher Dale Flannery in Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities and also as Sean in the Showtime Network series Satisfaction. Dustin Clare stars as Gannicus, the champion gladiator in the House of Batiatus, in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. This is the prequel to the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and is reprising his role as Gannicus in the sequel season to Spartacus: Blood and Sand entitled Spartacus: Vengeance which is currently in production. He is dating New Zealand actress Camille Keenan.
