Dave Sheridan Movies and Career Information

David Christopher "Dave" Sheridan (born March 10, 1969) is an American actor, comedian, writer, producer, and musician. He is perhaps best known for his performance as Special Officer Doofy in the dark comedy Scary Movie (2000). Sheridan began his career as an intern at Saturday Night Live. From there, he entered Chicago's famed comedy Mecca, The Second City, where he wrote, directed and produced "Dave Sheridan's America", a multimedia stage show. He starred on Buzzkill (1996), an MTV TV series that featured three slacker buddies staging elaborate pranks and catching it all on video. Sheridan is well known for his role in Scary Movie as Officer Doofy. He can be seen touring with his band that formed in 2004, Van Stone. Sheridan's character Doug in the movie Ghost World appears in the Red Hot Chili Peppers videos "By the Way" and "Universally Speaking". Sheridan hosted a series called "Smile...You're Under Arrest!" on the Fox Reality Channel.
