Craig Phillip Robinson (born October 25, 1971) is an American actor and stand-up comedian. He is best known for his roles on The Office as Darryl Philbin and in the films Pineapple Express, Zack and Miri Make a Porno and Hot Tub Time Machine. Robinson was born in Chicago. He has appeared in feature films and television programs. Prior to a career in show business, Robinson was a music teacher at Horace Mann Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois. He received his undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and his masters of education from Saint Xavier University. Robinson was arrested on June 29, 2008 in Culver City on charges of possessing methamphetamine and ecstasy during a routine traffic stop. At the time, Robinson was already on probation stemming from a drunk driving incident in 2006. He plead guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance, and agreed to take drug education classes.
