Christophe Barratier (born 17 June 1963), son of actress Eva Simonet and nephew of film director Jacques Perrin, is a French film producer, film director and screenwriter. He has directed three hugely successful features films The Chorus (2004). As the lyricist of the film's song Look To Your Path (Vois Sur Ton Chemin), he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film as well as eight César Awards, of which it won two. His second feature film Paris 36 starring Gérard Jugnot and Nora Arnezeder which was also nominated for Academy Award for Best Original Song and four César Awards. His latest film is a new adaptation of War of the Buttons that takes place during World War II, it was released in France during the summer of 2011 and cost €16 million.
