Bharat Nalluri is a British television and film director.
Born in Andhra Pradesh, India, Nalluri was brought to the United Kingdom at a young age and grew up in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Nalluri is recognized for his work with the U.K. television production company Kudos Film & Television, which produces drama series’ for the major English television networks.
Under Kudos, he has directed episodes of the BBC One programs Hustle, Spooks and Life on Mars. Nalluri is noted for having a major influence in the stylistic direction of these three series’.
Working with director Paul W. S. Anderson, Nalluri performed as second unit director on the films Resident Evil (2002) and Alien vs. Predator (2004). In 2000, he directed the movie The Crow: Salvation.
The HBO two-part drama Tsunami: The Aftermath was also directed by Nalluri. Based on research and interviews, the miniseries was a fictionalized version of the December 2004 disaster in Thailand.
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Nalluri’s next feature film, was released on March 7, 2008 and stared Frances McDormand and Amy Adams.
