Beth Ehlers (born July 23, 1968) is a Daytime Emmy-nominated American actress. Born in Queens, New York, Ehlers eventually moved closer to Manhattan and attended Satellite Academy, a performing arts school, as a child. Ehlers briefly attended Syracuse University before focusing on her acting career. In 1991, Ehlers married Dr. William Parsons. Ehlers became involved with Mark Derwin, her co-star on Guiding Light shortly after marrying Parsons and they later divorced in 1992. On March 22, 1996, she married Matthew Christian, who is a sports video editor. Beth and Matthew have two sons, Henry Jack Christian, who was born on May 21, 1999 and Will, born July 16, 2001. The couple divorced in 2005. Ehlers discussed her life as a single mother in the 1/15/2008 issue of Soap Opera Digest, noting that she and her ex-husband are still close friends and that she does not believe she ever will marry again. Ehlers grew up in New York City and begin appearing in television commercials at the age of nine.
