Aurora Miranda da Cunha (born April 20, 1915 in Rio de Janeiro – December 22, 2005 in Rio de Janeiro) was a Brazilian entertainer. Her sister was Carmen Miranda. Miranda began her career at the age of 18 in 1933. She appeared in several films, including The Three Caballeros, where she danced with Donald Duck and José Carioca, singing the song, "Os Quindins de Yayá". In 1934 she recorded Cidade Maravilhosa, a song for the 1935 carnaval written by André Filho who also sings on the recording, about the "marvellous city" of Rio de Janeiro, "the heart of my Brasil". The song was to become the official Rio hymn, and its title became the nickname for Rio.
