Amanda Loncar (born Arcata, Humboldt County, California, February 26, 1982) is an American film and television actress. The eldest of three siblings, Amanda attended High School in Sacramento, Sacramento County, California, and moved to New York City, New York, at the age of 18 where she studied at The New Actors Workshop with George Morrison, Mike Nichols and Paul Sills for two years, in the same class with Michael Cassidy. She is well known for her role as "Piper" on the 2006 Fox Television series The Loop. Her film credits currently include On the Road with Judas (2007), Live! (2007) and Lions for Lambs (2008). Amanda is currently recovering from stage 3 brain cancer. She underwent multiple brain surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. She currently lives in downtown Manhattan.
