Allen Jerome Covert (born October 13, 1964) is an American comedian, actor, and writer. Covert was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and educated at New York University, where he was a classmate of Adam Sandler. Now a longtime friend of Sandler, Covert frequently writes for Sandler's comedy albums and films. He's a familiar face to Sandler fans, having appeared in most of his movies: Covert also had a brief role in a King Of Queens television episode that Sandler and friend, Peter Dante, was also a guest-star on as well as an episode where he was the towel guy. Covert cameoed alongside Sandler in an episode of the short lived, but highly critically acclaimed comedy by Judd Apatow, Undeclared, in "The Assistant" episode, as well as appearing in an episode of the again short-lived but highly critically acclaimed comedy by Judd Apatow, Freaks and Geeks, in the episode where Neil, BIll, and Sam attempt to buy non-alcoholic beer for Lindsay's party (Covert is the one who sells them the keg). Covert is also one of the screenwriters for the Happy Madison production The Benchwarmers, which was released April 7, 2006. Covert also appeared in the music video for the song Heaven Can Wait by We
