Akshaye Khanna (born 28 March 1975 in Mumbai, India) is a critically acclaimed Indian film actor who works in Hindi cinema. Akshaye Khanna was born in Bombay (Mumbai) in 1975. He is the middle son of Bollywood actor and politician Vinod Khanna, and the younger brother of actor Rahul Khanna. Khanna made his Bollywood acting debut in his father's production Himalay Putra in 1997 at the age of 22. His next release was J. P. Dutta's Border (1997) for which he received a Filmfare Best Debut Award and also a nomination for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1998. His next release was the film Mohabbat with Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Kapoor in the same year. This movie did not do well in the box office. He then earned acclaim in the movie Taal, and the film was moderate success. In 2002 he got a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his supporting role in the cult movie Dil Chahta Hai. A year later Khanna put up one of the best performances of his career in the thriller Humraaz. His role as a convincing con-artist in this film earned him much critical acclaim, and a nomination for a Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. He then attempted comedy in
