Adam Williams (November 26, 1922 , in Wall Lake, Iowa – December 4, 2006) was an American film and television actor. A veteran "bad guy" actor of 1950s film and TV who began his career after distinguished WWII military service as a U.S. Navy pilot, being awarded the Navy Cross. Williams' notable roles included playing Larry, a car bomber, in The Big Heat (1953). In 1952, Williams played the lead role as Los Angeles woman killer in Without Warning!. Other notable roles include Valerian, the henchman who fell off Mount Rushmore in North by Northwest and the psychiatrist in Fear Strikes Out. An interesting fact is that Adam Williams, also known as Adam Berg, was the pilot who flew the bi-plane which chased Cary Grant through the field in North by Northwest. He was an accomplished pilot who was an examiner for the FAA. One of his last roles was in the television movie Helter Skelter (1976).
